Self-checkout is a scam; it’s unpaid labor for corporate laziness. They don't even work well and require workers to be near it to work.

Self-checkouts should allow higher wages. There should be upward pressure on entry level wages but the immigration policy distorts the job market, suppressing wages. Allow worker shortages.
